The magnetic Mould and Deckle

What’s that, you ask? A mould & deckle is the two piece papermaking tool (essentially a screen and frame) used to collect each sheet of pulp during the handmade paper process. Not an easy tool to track down for a fledgling paper business, so Stephanie started making her own back in 2017. Making paper one day while brainstorming a simplified approach to mould making, and lamenting the way simple student style moulds were always loose and more challenging to bring together swiftly and correctly while pulling sheets, she thought “MAGNETS”. Combined with gorgeously thick epoxy and a simple frame, the SHare Studios Original Magnetic Mould and Deckle was born. We are honored to share it with you.

The new collection is finally here! We’ve made a few changes this time around, with an even thicker epoxy coating, and completely built in deckles with beautiful brass screws. And then we decided it was time to go BIG or go home, with the new Professional Series of Magnetic Mould and Deckles. Finally expanding my stationery size collection to make as many sheets as possible with one pull. We are still working on building samples for each new variation, but here is a full list of current sizes available to order now.

Single Envelopes: A2, A6, A7, A9
